ABOUT UDAAN
Udaan (meaning flight) is the University of Illinois' premier Bollywood Fusion Dance competition where collegiate dance teams from all over the nation will come together on UIUC's campus not only to compete for a title, but also to spread awareness of South Asian Culture. As an organization, we propel the next generation of trailblazers and fly high with our spirit for dance.

CHARITY
Udaan has also recently partnered with Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago which is a nationally ranked pediatric acute care hospital that provides the latest benefits and innovations in medical technology, family friendly design and research to all their patients. Just like Udaan, Lurie's Children emphasizes inclusivity and provides healthcare to any and all of their patients. Through fundraisers and sponsorships over the year Udaan's contributions will go towards cancer research, and supporting families who may not be able to support their kids on their own.
OUR VISION
Not only does our competition dedicate itself to transforming our cultural passions into tangible action, but we are a melting pot that welcomes and encourages teams from all backgrounds, cultures and locations to participate. With a campus culture that promotes diversity and inclusion, Udaan is representative of just that. We are bold, which means our competition is an outlet for teams to express themselves while still experiencing a sense of south asian unity. Udaan lifts one another up, and we can’t wait to share this spirit with participants of our competition and sponsors.
